Brandie woke the next morning more frustrated than ever before. Mostly because she tossed and turned all night trying to ignore scandalous images her and Kahlil getting reunited in the best way. Kahlil never meant to hurt Brandie or leave her the way that he did but when he got word that his cousin had been killed that became his only concern. He didn’t think that he would ever function normally in society again once it finally sunk in that his cousin was gone. He was really like a brother to him and to live with the loss of someone so close, someone he’d made plans to do big things with. To this day whenever it was quiet enough, Kahlil could still hear the shrieks and screams of his aunt’s agony and pain of losing her only child.
